This close-coupled end suction pump incorporates a cast iron casing housing a bronze impeller and a bronze shaft sleeve. The design utilizes a dry shaft configuration that protects the pump shaft from circulating fluid, rated for 125 PSI without a wear ring. Maintenance of the mechanical seal is facilitated by an easy-to-replace, slip-on shaft sleeve, while the seal itself comprises a ceramic seat and EPT rubber. Pressure tappings are integrated into the suction and discharge connections, and flush seal line taps permit the installation of a filter to protect the seal from non-condensable particles.
Powered by a 5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding, the assembly accepts a 380-460V 3PH power supply and achieves a DOE PEI rating of 0.43. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
