This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a 2-1/2" suction and a 2" discharge with ANSI Class 125 flanges. It uses a 9-1/2" diameter bronze impeller and a cast iron casing. The assembly incorporates a stainless steel shaft with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve and a dry shaft design. The mechanical seal consists of a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber components, rated for temperatures up to 250°F. The pump is designed for serviceability, allowing for maintenance without disrupting system piping, and includes flush seal line taps and gauge ports at the suction and discharge connections.
This unit operates at 3450 RPM and is powered by a 40 HP Baldor motor in a NEMA 286TS frame with an ODP enclosure. The motor is configured for 230-460V, 60Hz, 3PH power and features premium efficiency, meeting MG1-12.55 standards with integrated AEGIS shaft grounding. The assembly is mounted on a welded base that includes an integral drip pan and a standard Woods coupler protected by a coupler guard. This pump configuration maintains an across-the-line starting option and complies with DOE efficiency requirements with a PEI value of 0.9.
