This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing with a bronze impeller to facilitate fluid transfer. The assembly incorporates a stainless steel shaft paired with a bronze shaft sleeve, which remains isolated from the circulating fluid through a dry shaft design rated for 125 PSI. A mechanical seal, constructed with a ceramic seat and EPT rubber components, provides fluid containment. The construction allows for servicing without disturbing system piping connections, and pressure tappings are provided on both the suction and discharge ports.
The pump operates with a 75 HP premium efficiency ODP motor at 1750 RPM, integrating Aegis grounding and a 380-460V 3PH power supply. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
