This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The assembly utilizes a dry shaft design, which keeps the stainless steel shaft isolated from the circulating fluid to minimize corrosion. A bronze shaft sleeve protects the shaft, while the mechanical seal incorporates a ceramic seat half and EPT rubber. This construction sustains operating pressures up to 125 PSI without a wear ring.
The 7.5 HP, premium efficiency, TEFC motor operates at 3450 RPM, includes Aegis grounding, utilizes 380-460V / 3PH power, and carries a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
