This base-mounted end suction pump incorporates a cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a bronze impeller. The construction utilizes a stainless steel shaft protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve, which prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft. A mechanical seal with a ceramic seat and EPT rubber components facilitates operation at pressures up to 125 PSI. This configuration allows for servicing the mechanical seal and bearing housing without disturbing the existing system piping.
The assembly is powered by a 30 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding and a power supply of 380-460V / 3PH, achieving a DOE PEI of 0.48. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 4X / IP 66 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
