This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a class 30 cast iron casing and a bronze impeller to facilitate fluid movement. The assembly incorporates a dry shaft design with a stainless steel shaft protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve, which prevents circulating fluid from making contact with the shaft. A mechanical seal composed of ceramic and EPT components provides pressure containment rated at 125 PSI without a wear ring. The pump facilitates system maintenance through flush seal line taps and pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections.
The motor provides 30 HP with premium efficiency and an ODP enclosure, operating at 1750 RPM with an Aegis grounding ring, powered by 200-230V / 3PH electrical input, yielding a DOE PEI of 0.44. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
