This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a cast iron casing with 2-1/2" suction and 2" discharge ANSI Class 125 flanges. It uses a 7-1/4" nominal diameter bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft with a bronze shaft sleeve. The pump incorporates a dry shaft design to prevent contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft. A mechanical seal composed of a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber is rated for temperatures up to 250 °F. The unit includes a bronze wear ring and integrated pressure tappings on both the suction and discharge connections for monitoring system performance.
The pump is driven by a 3 HP Baldor motor with an ODP enclosure, configured in a NEMA 182T frame. This motor operates at 1750 RPM on a 230-460V, 60Hz, 3PH power supply and meets NEMA premium efficiency standards, including AEGIS shaft grounding. The assembly is mounted on a welded base with an integrated drip pan and uses a Woods coupler protected by an OSHA-compliant coupler guard. The pump operates at a DOE PEI value of 0.88. The starting configuration is across the line, and the system is rated for a 40 °C ambient environment.
