This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with a 125 PSI pressure rating and an integrated wear ring. A bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve facilitate movement of the process fluid. The dry shaft design prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft. A mechanical seal utilizes ceramic seat halves and EPT rubber components to ensure containment. Gauge ports allow for monitoring at both the suction and discharge connections.
The assembly utilizes a 10 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding on a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI of 0.45. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
