This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a 6" suction and a 5" discharge with ANSI Class 125 flanges. The unit includes a 9-1/2" nominal impeller diameter constructed of bronze with a bronze wear ring. The pump casing is made of cast iron and utilizes a stainless steel shaft and shaft sleeve. The dry shaft design prevents circulating fluid from contacting the shaft. The mechanical seal consists of a silicon-carbide seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for clean water service up to 250 °F. Pressure tappings are provided on both the suction and discharge connections.
The pump operates at 1750 RPM and is powered by a 15 HP, 230-460/60/3 premium efficiency Baldor motor. The motor is configured with an ODP enclosure, a 254 T-frame, and AEGIS shaft grounding. The assembly utilizes greasable bearings within the bearing frame and is mounted on a welded base that includes an integral drip pan and an OSHA-compliant coupler guard. A standard Woods flexible coupler connects the pump to the motor. This configuration meets NEMA standard requirements and has a DOE PEI value of 0.92.
