This close-coupled end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The assembly incorporates a bronze shaft sleeve and utilizes a dry shaft design rated for 125 PSI. Sealing is handled by a mechanical seal with a silicon-carbide seat and EPT rubber. This design protects the pump shaft by eliminating contact with the circulating fluid. The unit provides pressure tappings on suction and discharge connections and integrates flush seal line taps to allow for the installation of a filter to protect the seal from non-condensable particles.
The motor operates at 3 HP with premium efficiency and a TEFC enclosure at 1750 RPM, utilizing Aegis grounding on a 380-460V / 3PH power supply with a DOE PEI of 0.45. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
