This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a class 30 cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The unit utilizes a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the stainless steel shaft. A replaceable bronze shaft sleeve protects the shaft assembly, while the mechanical seal incorporates a ceramic seat and EPT rubber components to operate at pressures up to 125 PSI. This assembly maintains hydraulic performance through an integrally cast mounting feet configuration.
The assembly utilizes a 7.5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding on a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI of 0.46. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
