This close-coupled end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing with an integrated bronze impeller and a bronze shaft sleeve to facilitate fluid movement. The internal mechanical seal incorporates a ceramic seat and EPT rubber components, while the dry shaft design protects the pump shaft by preventing contact with the circulating fluid. Standard pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections allow for monitoring system conditions, and flush seal line taps allow the installation of a filter to protect the seal from non-condensable particles. This assembly is constructed for a maximum pressure rating of 125 PSI.
The pump operates with a 15 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor at 1750 RPM, utilizing Aegis grounding and a 380-460V 3PH power supply, achieving a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
