This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing with a center-line discharge for positive air venting and bronze impeller construction. It incorporates a stainless steel shaft paired with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve and a dry shaft design, which prevents the circulating fluid from contacting the shaft and eliminates the need for corrosion-resistant shaft materials. The mechanical seal consists of an EPT rubber component and a ceramic seat half, engineered for a pressure rating of 125 PSI without a wear ring. This unit enables serviceability without disturbing the existing system piping.
Powered by a 30 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 3450 RPM, the assembly integrates Aegis grounding and utilizes a 380-460V / 3PH power supply with a DOE PEI rating of 0.48. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
