This close-coupled end suction pump incorporates a cast iron casing with a bronze impeller and a bronze shaft sleeve. The dry shaft design prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the pump shaft, while the mechanical seal utilizes a ceramic seat and EPT rubber. This assembly maintains a pressure rating of 125 PSI without a wear ring. The pump includes flush seal line taps and pressure tappings on both the suction and discharge connections to facilitate system maintenance and monitoring.
The assembly utilizes a 5 HP premium efficiency PMAC motor with a TEFC enclosure, operating at 1750 RPM, equipped with Aegis grounding, and powered by a 200-230V 3PH electrical supply with a DOE PEI rating of 0.43. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
