This close-coupled end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller to facilitate fluid transfer. The assembly incorporates a bronze shaft sleeve and a dry shaft design that eliminates contact between the shaft and circulating fluid. A mechanical seal is constructed with a ceramic seat half and EPT rubber, providing a pressure rating of 125 PSI. Pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections allow for system monitoring, while flush seal line taps accommodate the installation of a filter to shield the seal from non-condensable particles.
Powered by a 30 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor, this unit operates at 1750 RPM and incorporates Aegis grounding, receiving 380-460V / 3PH power with a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
