This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller to facilitate fluid movement. The unit incorporates a dry shaft design that prevents the circulating fluid from contacting the stainless steel shaft, which is covered by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. A mechanical seal with ceramic components and EPT rubber gaskets provides the necessary barrier, and the assembly supports a maximum pressure rating of 125 PSI. This design allows for service and maintenance of the seal and bearings without disturbing the system piping.
The motor is a 40 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding, powered by 200-230V / 3PH, with a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
