This end suction pump is constructed with a class 30 cast iron casing and a hydraulically balanced bronze impeller. The pump utilizes a dry shaft design, protecting the stainless steel shaft from circulating fluids through a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. It incorporates a mechanical seal comprising ceramic seat halves and EPT rubber, rated for 125 PSI operation. Pressure tappings are integrated into the suction and discharge connections to facilitate system monitoring.
The assembly is powered by a 25 HP premium efficiency ODP motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis shaft grounding, supplied by 380-460V / 3PH power, and carries a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with an electro-mech bypass and main disconnect and holds an enclosure NEMA Type 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
