This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a 3" suction and a 2-1/2" discharge, both with ANSI Class 125 flanges. The pump includes a 9-1/2" diameter bronze impeller and a cast iron casing. It utilizes a dry shaft design with a stainless steel shaft and a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. The mechanical seal consists of a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for temperatures up to 250°F. The bearing frame incorporates sealed-for-life ball bearings and is equipped with pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections to facilitate system monitoring.
This unit operates at 1750 RPM and is powered by a 7-1/2 HP Baldor Super E premium efficiency TEFC motor, which meets NEMA MG1-12.55 standards. The motor is configured in a 213T frame and utilizes a 230-460/60/3 PH power supply. The pump assembly is mounted on a welded steel base with an integral drip pan and an OSHA-compliant coupler guard. It uses a Wood's coupler to connect the pump to the motor for across-the-line starting. This model has a DOE PEI value of 0.88.
