This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing with a bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft. The dry shaft design prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft, which is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. This assembly incorporates a mechanical seal constructed with a ceramic seat and EPT rubber. The pump is engineered for a maximum pressure of 125 PSI and incorporates flush seal line taps to protect the mechanical seal from non-condensable particles. Integrated gauge ports on the suction and discharge connections allow for system monitoring during operation.
The 40 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operates at 1750 RPM and integrates Aegis grounding, powered by a 200-230V 3PH supply, with a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
