This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a bronze impeller. The assembly incorporates a dry shaft construction that isolates the stainless steel shaft from the circulating fluid, further protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. Engineered for 125 PSI operation, the unit includes a wear ring and utilizes a mechanical seal with a ceramic seat and EPT rubber. Gauge ports are located at the suction and discharge connections to facilitate system monitoring.
Powered by a 15 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 3450 RPM, the pump utilizes Aegis grounding, a 380-460V 3PH power supply, and has a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
