This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing with an integrally cast bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft. The assembly incorporates a bronze shaft sleeve to protect the shaft from circulating fluids through a dry shaft design, which supports an operating pressure of 125 PSI. Mechanical sealing consists of a ceramic seat with EPT rubber, providing an interface for fluid containment. Gauge ports allow for monitoring at the suction and discharge connections, while the design allows for servicing the pump without disturbing the existing system piping.
The motor provides 7.5 HP, Premium Efficiency, TEFC, 3450 RPM, with Aegis Grounding, operating on 380-460V / 3PH power, with a DOE PEI of 0.47. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
