This base-mounted end suction pump incorporates a cast iron casing with an integrally cast mounting foot and center-line discharge. The hydraulic assembly utilizes a stainless steel impeller and a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the stainless steel shaft. A bronze shaft sleeve protects the shaft assembly from wear, while the mechanical seal employs ceramic faces and EPT rubber to accommodate operating temperatures up to 250°F. The casing withstands pressures up to 125 PSI.
This assembly utilizes a 10 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor that operates at 1750 RPM, integrates an Aegis grounding ring, and accepts 230V 3PH power with a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD incorporates a 5kA SCCR main disconnect and a third contactor; it is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
