This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a 5" suction and a 4" discharge with ANSI Class 125 flanges. It utilizes a 13-1/2" nominal diameter bronze impeller housed within a cast iron casing. The pump construction includes a stainless steel shaft and a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. A mechanical seal composed of a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber handles temperatures up to 250°F. The unit incorporates a dry shaft design to prevent contact between the shaft and the circulating fluid. Pressure tappings are provided on the suction and discharge connections, and the casing includes flush seal line taps for seal protection.
The pump operates at 1750 RPM on a 60Hz power supply. It is configured with a NEMA 256 T-frame motor and is mounted on a welded base that includes an integral drip pan. A Woods coupler connects the pump to the motor and is protected by a standard coupler guard. This assembly achieves a PEI value of 0.92. The bearing housing features sealed-for-life ball bearings rated for a minimum L10 life of 60,000 hours. This model does not include a wear ring.
