This close-coupled end suction pump incorporates a cast iron casing with a bronze impeller and a bronze shaft sleeve. The dry shaft design eliminates contact between the circulating fluid and the pump shaft, which removes the necessity for corrosion-resistant shaft materials. A mechanical seal utilizes a ceramic seat half and EPT rubber. This assembly supports up to 125 PSI operation. Pressure tappings are located on both the suction and discharge connections.
The 15 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operates at 1750 RPM and incorporates Aegis grounding, a power supply of 380-460V / 3PH, and a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 4X / IP 66 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
