It uses a stainless steel shaft paired with a bronze shaft sleeve to maintain a dry shaft design. The mechanical seal assembly consists of a silicon-carbide seat, a carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, with a temperature rating of 250 °F for handling clean water.
This unit operates at 1750 RPM and is powered by a 20 HP Baldor motor with an ODP enclosure, fitting a 256 T frame. It is configured for a 230-460/60/3 power supply and utilizes across-the-line starting. The assembly is mounted on a welded base that includes a drip pan and a standard coupler guard protecting the Woods coupler. Additional features include AEGIS shaft grounding and a premium efficiency rating that meets MG1-12.55 standards. This equipment provides a DOE PEI of 0.93 and functions in a 40 °C ambient environment.
