This centrifugal end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with center-line discharge and a bronze impeller. The construction utilizes a stainless steel shaft and shaft sleeve, combined with a ceramic and EPT mechanical seal rated for 250 PSI. The design incorporates a dry shaft configuration that isolates the shaft from the circulating fluid.
The assembly operates with a 40 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding and a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.44. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
