This close-coupled end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller to facilitate fluid transfer. The design utilizes a dry shaft that prevents contact with circulating fluid, protected by a bronze shaft sleeve to facilitate maintenance. Pressure tappings are integrated into the suction and discharge connections for monitoring system performance. The mechanical seal assembly incorporates a ceramic seat with EPT rubber, providing a 125 PSI pressure rating for applications without a wear ring.
This pump is powered by a 30 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding and a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, yielding a DOE PEI rating of 0.44. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
