This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a cast iron casing with a 5" suction port and a 4" discharge port, both utilizing ANSI Class 125 flanges. It uses a 13-1/2" nominal diameter bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft equipped with a bronze shaft sleeve. The pump incorporates a dry shaft design and a mechanical seal composed of a Ni-Resist seat, carbon rotor, and Buna rubber components, rated for temperatures up to 225°F. Pressure tappings are provided on the suction and discharge connections to facilitate system monitoring.
This unit operates at 1750 RPM and is powered by a 40 HP Baldor ODP motor in a 324 T frame. The electrical configuration supports a 230-460/60/3 PH power supply with across-the-line starting. It includes AEGIS shaft grounding, complies with NEMA MG1-12.55 premium efficiency standards, and maintains a DOE PEI value of 0.92. The pump is mounted on a welded base that includes a drip pan and is connected to the motor via a Woods coupler protected by a standard guard. The assembly is configured for 40°C ambient operation with counter-clockwise rotation.
