This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing and a stainless steel impeller to manage fluid transport. The assembly integrates a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the stainless steel shaft. Maintenance is facilitated by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. The mechanical seal assembly comprises ceramic seating surfaces and EPT rubber components, providing pressure management up to 125 PSI. This pump structure incorporates center-line discharge for air venting and includes integral mounting feet to support installation requirements.
The pump utilizes a 10 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 3450 RPM with Aegis grounding, powered by 380-460V / 3PH electricity, and carries a DOE PEI rating of 0.43. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
