This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing with a bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft. It incorporates a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve and a dry shaft design that prevents the circulating fluid from contacting the pump shaft, supporting pressures up to 125 PSI. A mechanical seal with a ceramic seat and EPT rubber components provides fluid containment within the pump housing. The assembly allows for access to the mechanical seal and the bearing housing without requiring the removal of system piping connections.
The unit utilizes a 7.5 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis Grounding, powered by 380-460V / 3PH electricity, and possesses a DOE PEI rating of 0.44. The S in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
