This end suction pump is constructed with a class 30 cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The assembly utilizes a stainless steel shaft protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve, maintaining a dry shaft design that isolates the circulating fluid from the shaft. A mechanical seal assembly comprising an EPT rubber component and a ceramic seat half enables operation at pressures up to 125 PSI. The casing incorporates gauge ports at the suction and discharge connections, along with a drain port at the bottom for maintenance. This configuration allows for servicing of the pump components without disturbing the system piping.
The assembly operates with a 40 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor at 1750 RPM, integrates Aegis grounding, and utilizes a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The S in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
