This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller to facilitate fluid movement. The unit incorporates a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the stainless steel shaft. Protection for the shaft is provided by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. The assembly integrates a mechanical seal constructed with a ceramic seat half and EPT rubber. This configuration is rated for a maximum operating pressure of 125 PSI.
The motor is a 30 HP, premium efficiency, TEFC motor enclosure, operating at 3450 RPM with Aegis grounding, configured for a 200-230V / 3PH power supply, and carries a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
