This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing with a bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft. The assembly incorporates a dry shaft design that protects the shaft from contact with the circulating fluid, supported by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. For fluid sealing, the unit integrates a mechanical seal constructed with ceramic seat halves and EPT rubber components, capable of operating at pressures up to 125 PSI. This pump configuration supports parallel pumping and multi-pump control.
The motor is a 3 HP premium efficiency TEFC model operating at 1750 RPM, integrated with Aegis grounding and a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
