This close-coupled end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller to facilitate fluid movement. The construction integrates a bronze shaft sleeve with a dry shaft mechanical seal design, comprising a ceramic seat half and EPT rubber components. This assembly maintains a pressure rating of 125 PSI without a wear ring. The design incorporates flush seal line taps to allow the installation of a filter for particle management and provides pressure tappings on suction and discharge connections for monitoring system performance.
The pump utilizes a 3 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding, powered by 380-460V / 3PH electrical supply, attaining a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
