This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a class 30 cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a bronze impeller. Engineered with a dry shaft design, the pump prevents fluid contact with the stainless steel shaft through the use of a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. The internal hydraulic assembly incorporates a ceramic mechanical seal with EPT rubber elements, supporting operational pressures up to 125 PSI. This configuration allows for maintenance of the seal and bearing housing without disrupting system piping. The impeller is dynamically balanced to ANSI Grade G6.3, while gauge ports at the suction and discharge connections allow for monitoring of system conditions.
The 15 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operates at 3450 RPM, incorporates Aegis grounding, and accepts 380-460V 3PH power input with a DOE PEI of 0.45. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
