This base-mounted end suction pump integrates a cast iron casing with a bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft to maintain hydraulic performance. The assembly utilizes a dry shaft design with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve to prevent fluid contact with the shaft, while the mechanical seal comprises ceramic seat halves and EPT rubber. Engineered for systems with internal pressure up to 125 PSI, the construction provides support for internal components during operation.
The motor provides 15 HP with a Premium Efficiency rating, a TEFC enclosure, an operating speed of 1750 RPM, Aegis grounding, and 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
