This Taco CI Series close-coupled end suction pump features a 2-1/2" suction and a 2" discharge with ANSI Class 125 flanges. It is constructed with a cast iron casing, a 9-1/2" nominal diameter bronze impeller, and a bronze wear ring. The assembly includes a bronze shaft sleeve and a dry shaft configuration that isolates the shaft from the circulating fluid. The mechanical seal consists of a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, with a temperature rating of 250°F. The casing includes pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections and provides flush seal line taps for filter installation.
The pump operates at 1750 RPM and is driven by a 3 HP Baldor Super E premium efficiency motor that meets NEMA MG1-12.55 standards. The motor is housed in an ODP enclosure, utilizes a 182 JM frame style with feet, and is configured for a 230-460/60/3 power supply with across-the-line starting. It is rated for a 40°C ambient environment. The unit features a rear pullout design and a top center line discharge. The Department of Energy Pump Efficiency Index for this pump is 0.84.
