This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The design incorporates a dry shaft construction with a stainless steel shaft protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve, which prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft. A ceramic and EPT mechanical seal provides containment, while the casing supports operation up to 125 PSI. Integrally cast mounting feet on the volute allow for positive air venting through a center-line discharge.
The pump operates with a 3 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor at 1750 RPM, which utilizes Aegis grounding and accepts 380-460V 3PH power input, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
