This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a 5" suction and 4" discharge with ANSI Class 125 flanges. The pump assembly includes a cast iron casing, a 9-1/2" nominal diameter bronze impeller, and a stainless steel shaft. It utilizes a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve and a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the shaft. The mechanical seal is comprised of a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for operation at temperatures up to 250°F. The unit includes pressure tappings on suction and discharge connections and utilizes greasable bearings within the bearing frame.
The pump operates at 1750 RPM and is powered by a 15 HP Baldor motor with an ODP enclosure and a NEMA 254 T frame. Power requirements are 200/60/3 PH with across-the-line starting. The assembly is mounted on a welded base that includes a drip pan and an OSHA-compliant coupler guard. The motor and pump are connected via a Woods coupler, and the shaft is equipped with AEGIS shaft grounding. This pump is configured for a 40°C ambient environment and maintains a PEI value of 0.93.
