This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a center-line discharge for efficient air venting. It comprises a bronze impeller dynamically balanced to ANSI Grade G6.3, fitted to a stainless steel shaft. A replaceable bronze shaft sleeve facilitates maintenance, while the dry shaft design prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft. The assembly incorporates a ceramic and EPT mechanical seal rated for 125 PSI operation. Pressure tappings are located at both the suction and discharge connections to monitor performance.
The motor is a 50 HP premium efficiency TEFC model operating at 3450 RPM, equipped with Aegis grounding, and powered by a 380-460V 3PH supply, resulting in a DOE PEI of 0.46. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
