This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The design incorporates a dry shaft construction with a stainless steel shaft and a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve, which prevents fluid from contacting the shaft. The mechanical seal assembly utilizes ceramic and EPT components. Pressure tappings for suction and discharge are included for system monitoring, and the casing supports a pressure rating of 125 PSI without a wear ring. The volute design allows for positive air venting through center-line discharge.
This assembly utilizes a 5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 3450 RPM with Aegis grounding and a 200-230V 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI of 0.47. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 4X / IP 66 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
