This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with a center-line discharge and an integrated bronze wear ring rated for 125 PSI operation. The assembly utilizes a stainless steel impeller coupled to a stainless steel shaft, protected by a bronze shaft sleeve within a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid contact. A mechanical seal constructed with silicon-carbide seat halves and EPT rubber ensures fluid containment during operation. Pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections allow for gauge installation, while the volute includes a drain port for maintenance. This construction enables access to internal components for servicing without disturbing existing system piping.
The 10 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operates at 1750 RPM, incorporates Aegis grounding, and accepts 380-460V / 3PH power with a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
