This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The design incorporates a stainless steel shaft covered by a bronze shaft sleeve, following a dry shaft configuration that isolates the fluid from the shaft. The mechanical seal utilizes ceramic seat halves and EPT rubber, providing a pressure rating of 125 PSI. Constructed with integrally cast mounting feet, the casing allows for positive air venting through a center-line discharge. The internal components accommodate operation without a wear ring.
The assembly operates on a 40 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding and utilizes a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The S in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 4X / IP 66 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
