This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing with an integrated bronze impeller and a bronze shaft sleeve over a stainless steel shaft. The assembly incorporates a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the shaft and utilizes a ceramic and EPT mechanical seal. This construction supports 125 PSI operation and incorporates a replaceable wear ring to facilitate maintenance. The casing provides suction and discharge gauge ports to monitor system pressure.
The pump assembly utilizes a 15 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding on 200-230V 3PH power, achieving a DOE PEI of 0.45. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
