This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with a bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft. It integrates a bronze shaft sleeve to protect the shaft, utilizing a dry shaft design that maintains a 125 PSI rating without a wear ring. The pump incorporates a mechanical seal assembly consisting of a ceramic seat and EPT rubber. This construction allows for servicing without disturbing the connected piping, while the casing includes integral mounting feet to provide structural stability.
The assembly utilizes a 3 HP Premium Efficiency PMAC motor with a TEFC enclosure, operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding and a 200-230V 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.47. The S in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
