This close-coupled end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The design integrates a dry shaft that eliminates contact between the shaft and circulating fluid, while a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve facilitates seal maintenance. The mechanical seal utilizes a ceramic seat half and EPT rubber. Suction and discharge connections include pressure tappings, and flush seal line taps allow filter installation to protect the seal from non-condensable particles. This configuration supports a maximum operating pressure of 125 PSI.
The pump utilizes a 5 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor at 1750 RPM, incorporates Aegis grounding, and accepts 380-460V / 3PH power, with a DOE PEI of 0.43. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
