This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with an integrated bronze impeller and a bronze shaft sleeve coupled to a stainless steel shaft. The assembly utilizes a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the pump shaft. A ceramic and EPT mechanical seal facilitates operation under pressures reaching 125 PSI. This pump construction provides stability in hydraulic systems through the integration of center-line discharge for air venting and gauge ports for suction and discharge connections.
The system utilizes a 7.5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding and a 200-230V 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.47. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
