This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The design integrates a stainless steel shaft and a stainless steel shaft sleeve, utilizing a dry shaft architecture to prevent contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft. The assembly incorporates a mechanical seal comprising a ceramic seat and EPT rubber, rated for a maximum pressure of 125 PSI. A wear ring is included to maintain hydraulic performance and protect the casing.
The pump utilizes a 3 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, incorporating Aegis grounding on a 200-230V / 3 PH power supply, with a DOE PEI rating of 0.5. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
