This end suction pump utilizes a class 30 cast iron casing with center-line discharge and integrally cast mounting feet for positive air venting. The unit incorporates a bronze impeller that is dynamically balanced to ANSI Grade G6.3 and fitted to a stainless steel shaft. A dry shaft design prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft, which is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. This assembly includes a mechanical seal with a ceramic seat and EPT rubber. The pump design permits servicing without disturbing the system piping and allows for pressure tappings on both the suction and discharge connections.
The 20 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor operates at 1750 RPM with Aegis Grounding and supports a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, yielding a DOE: PEI = 0.46. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
