This close-coupled end suction pump incorporates a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The design utilizes a dry shaft architecture which prevents circulating fluid from contacting the pump shaft, supported by a bronze shaft sleeve. This assembly maintains a maximum pressure rating of 125 PSI and utilizes a mechanical seal constructed with ceramic seat halves and EPT rubber. Integrated flush seal line taps allow for the installation of a filter to protect the seal, while pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections enable performance monitoring.
Powered by a 5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor, this assembly operates at 1750 RPM and integrates Aegis grounding with a 200-230V 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI of 0.46. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
